Jerry did a tour of Vietnam with the Marines right out of high school.  He then attended The University of Hawaii. He was decorated after being wounded in Vietnam.

Jerry was an accomplished pilot, skydiver, racketball, tennis, and chess player. We played a lot of tennis together. He was also an avid outdoorsman.

Jerry was quite a ladies man who did well with some of the girls at BCC.  He never married.

He is survived by his mother Lucy, whom I believe is still living, and his brother John.

RIP

I have memories of Jerry that reach back to elementary school, and it's sad to think he's gone. I owe to him the only thing I learned in Sunday School at church - how to make paper airplanes. I still make them that way, as does my daughter. A good man gone too soon.

Jerry was a fun guy to be around, definitely a free spirit with an irreverant sense of humor. He was a good basketball player, and I think he might have run a little track or cross-country, though not too seriously, as best as I can remember.
