In Memory

Donn Reynolds

Born in August 1947, Donn Reynolds (69) died in Stanardsville, VA, outside of Charlottesville, in December 2016 from complications of dementia.  He is survived by his wife Sandy and his brother Glenn.

From Russell Jones (December 2016):  Donn was a great friend. I was lucky to have been able to reconnect with Donn and Steve Jobe in the last 10 years. We got to spend a lot of time together hunting and fishing -- things we'd enjoyed as youngsters. I will miss Donn.

Donn Reynolds, Steve Jobe and Russell Jones I can see them coming around the side of the Gym as if it were yesterday.  Friends of my friends part of the fabric of who we were, who we became and what we are today.  Stay well Russell.  This is sad.

I knew Donn and was sorry to hear of his passing. His mother was a real influence on my life. Rest in Peace.

Russell, so happy you were able to reconnect.  It is so sad when we lose our friends.  Donn was my first crush when I was in middle school.  Don't think he knew it.  I was very shy.  Best wishes to you and your family.  Kathy

Donn lived a couple of blocks from me so we spent a lot of time kicking around Bethesda together as youngsters....I remember the time he freewheeled his bike down the steep hill on York road at brack neck speed only to t-bone a car, leaving himself in the hospital and having to recuperate at home for a week or so....but what I remembe best is the time in the 6th grade at Bethesda Elementry when Donn perforrned his Elvis Presley imitation in front of the class, lip-syncing to "Hound Dog" while gyrating and swiveling just as Elvis did, and I said to myself,

"This guy is going to have no problem getting chicks"

Charlie I lived on York Lane in Greenwich Forest I remeber you and your brother and Donn as well. I had forgotten his accident. He was a great guy he also hung out with Eldon Kaplan. May he rest in peace.

Although I didn't move to Bethesda until the 8th grade at Leland, I also lived in GF after we started BCC - right on Hampden Lane across from the triangle.  I have connected with Eldon and let him know of Donn's passing. I have very fond memories of that neighborhhod.  My parents lived there for over 20 years.

Please let others know of Donn's passing; his roots to that neighbothood go way back.  And "HI" to you both.

Donn and I were very friendly in high school and after. I was sadened to see of his passing,  There is no doubt where ever he is now, he is fisihng and catching the biggest fish ever. It is difficult tp express feelings to those who you shared many happy days.  So in that spirit  I will remeber Donn .. We had some serious fun.
