After Jo-Ellen dropped out of Tulane, she returned to Maryland and I shared an apartment with her and Bonnie Kessler. We had been friends since junior high school, but I lost contact with her after graduating. I was saddened to learn she died. I found her obit online. Jo-Ellen died at 60 in FL. She's survived by her husband and stepchildren. Her obit didn't mention what she died from
Jo-Ellen was a great friend of mine during the B-CC years, college, and then we lost contact. My parents rented a bus for my Sweet 16 and 50 teenage girls were taken to Peter Pan for dinner. Jo-Ellen was singing and dancing on the bus and to this day when I run into anyone who was there they remember Jo-Ellen and her rendition of "Let Me Entertain You!" She was special, smart, fun, and I will always miss her. RIP Jo-Ellen
