A 60th Reunion
It's hard to believe that 2026 will be the 60th anniversary of our 1966 graduation from B-CC! Many of us have been thinking about a possible get-together next year to celebrate. If you would like to attend such an event, please let us know. If you have a preference on the season for holding the event, let us know that too. Please feel free to share any other suggestions or comments you have about a 60th Reunion. We look forward to receiving your thoughts and ideas.
To respond with your feedback, please click the "Contact Us" button at the top left. We'd love to hear from you. If you’ve already responded to an earlier email that was sent out regarding the reunion, then thank you for your input. It was great hearing from you. There’s no need to repeat your comments in response to this notice, unless you have something further to add.
We will be back in touch by email and on this website with further details about the event later in the year.
Class of 1966 Reunion Committee
Over the past 58 years, Mr. Steele's 1965-66 AP physics class has been having reunions of their own every few years. In 2017, over a quarter of the class, along with Mr. Steele and his son Colin Steele III, went out to Wyoming for the solar eclipse. A CBS News clip of that eclipse reunion trip can still be viewed at: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/star-students-hold-special-class-reunion-under-solar-eclipse/. The CBS news piece also includes a mini-reunion of Mr. Steele and five members of the class, visiting the old classroom at B-CC the day before leaving for Wyoming. Between that meeting and the reunion in Wyoming, there were a total of 11 members of the class participating. And counting family members, there were 24 of us watching the eclipse in Wyoming.
Mr. Steele turned 90 this year, and his class of 1966 is still honoring him. On February 18, 2024, 18 of the 29 living members of that class met in person and on Zoom for another "Mr. Steele Reunion" and early birthday celebration at his home in Winchester, VA. View photo collage here.
